A Very Plausible Theory Except For The Billions of Years. The Bible does say in
Genesis 10:25 "And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for
in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan."
That would mean that the days were much shorter and so the years as well, explaining
why after Peleg the ages of the people went down from hundreds of years to 75
years average. Perhaps the growing exponent could be applied to the size of the
earth. Mathematicians? Go to it!

I'm in good company if those that believe Vista is not going well for Microsoft.
I've been one of those PC users who decided to stick with Windows XP for the
time being instead of switching to the new Windows Vista. My reasons include
the cost of upgrading my several PC's, not wanting to increase my hardware capabilities
as needed by Vista, wanting to wait until the kinks are worked out and older
devices are made more compatible etc. After helping my father-in-law try to
get a printer and his networking working with his new Vista, I think its safe
to say I'm really happy with my decision to wait this one out. MORE

The problem with Vista is that MS let big business and the gov't have too
many backdoors to invade our privacy. After all, corporations and gov't are
merely quid-pro-quo whorehouses sold to the highest bidder. When the gov't needs
illegal wire-taps, Verizon and Sprint allow them secret rooms to listen in on
calls. When Haliburton (and KBR) need more revenue, the gov't hands out no-bid

Watertown severs ADL ties

A Massachusetts town council unanimously voted to end its partnership with
the Anti-Defamation League's anti-bigotry program.
In an 8-0 vote, the Watertown Town Council moved Tuesday to rescind its participation
in the No Place for Hate program, the Boston Globe reported. The move came under
immense pressure from the town's large Armenian community, which is angry over
the ADL's unwillingness to acknowledge the killings of Armenians during World
War I as genocide.
The ADL says it does not deny the genocide, it just isn't willing to affirm
it.
On Monday, the committee overseeing the No Place for Hate program in Watertown
met with local ADL officials to seek clarification of their position. Will Twombly,
the committee's co-chairman, told the Globe the committee finds ADL's position
"unacceptable."

according to Bishop Christopher Epting, the presiding bishop's deputy for ecumenical
and interfaith relations," according to the Episcopal Life Online Web site.

Elusive mystical creatures emerged again in Kanas Lake of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to the administration of the Kanas scenic spot, on July 5th at 8:20pm, huge ripples were seen on the surface of the lake by a few tourists carrying their portable video cameras.
The 8-minute video recording captured the entire event. From the video there can been seen a group of unidentified creatures, about 15 in number.
They gather together and separate, looking like a fleet, and create a magnificent scene. The parts of creatures seen above the surface of the water are several times larger than the biggest sightseeing boat in the area.
Statistics showed that Kanas Lake runs 25 kilometers north to south, is about 2.5 kilometers wide, and is 188 meters deep in its deepest area. Legends from thousands of years ago spoke about "monsters" that often stealthily dragged cattle into the water. The most recent siting in June 2006, recorded by three tourists from Beijing, triggered more discussion and speculation. Experts say the "monsters" are probably unidentified aquatic animals. The reported siting in July is the longest and the first fully recorded one.
